Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

Welcome to Finest Tiling. These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you visit our website, contact us about a project, or engage us for tile installation services.

By using our website, you agree to the website-related terms below. Any tile installation work we undertake will also be governed by the applicable written estimate, proposal, work order or service agreement accepted for that project. Where a project-specific agreement conflicts with these website terms, the project-specific agreement will govern to the extent of the conflict, subject to applicable law.

1. About Finest Tiling

2. Website Use

You may use this website to learn about our services, view project inspiration, and submit enquiries.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purposes.

  • Attempt to interfere with the website’s security, operation or availability.

  • Upload malicious code or content that could damage the website or another person’s systems.

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit website content without permission, except where permitted by law.

  • Submit information that you know to be false or misleading.

We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect its security, functionality or users.

3. Service Information and Project Images

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date. However, descriptions, photographs, examples, colours, patterns and other visual materials are provided for general information and inspiration.

Actual results may vary because of tile selection, lighting, screen settings, site conditions, installation methods, grout colour and other project-specific factors.

Unless expressly confirmed in writing, website content does not constitute a binding quote, guarantee of availability, promise of a particular result or commitment to undertake a specific project.

Please discuss your requirements with us before making purchasing or construction decisions based on website information.

4. Enquiries, Estimates and Pricing

You may contact us through our website, by email or by phone to discuss a potential project.

Any preliminary estimate or price indication is based on the information available at that time. The final price may depend on factors such as:

  • The size, layout and complexity of the installation.

  • Tile type, tile dimensions, pattern and installation method.

  • The condition and preparation requirements of the existing surface.

  • Waterproofing, levelling, removal or other additional work, where applicable.

  • Material availability, site access and other project-specific circumstances.

Where additional work or unforeseen conditions may affect the price, we will communicate the relevant details and seek approval where appropriate before proceeding, subject to applicable law and the terms of your project agreement.

A binding project price and scope will be established through the written estimate, proposal or agreement accepted for that project.

5. Booking and Project Agreements

A website enquiry or request for an estimate does not, by itself, constitute a confirmed booking or require either party to proceed with a project.

Before work begins, the applicable project documentation should identify the agreed scope of work, price, payment arrangements, anticipated schedule, material responsibilities and other important conditions.

Project-specific documents may include an accepted estimate, proposal, work order, change order and any agreed warranty terms.

Where required by law, we will provide the applicable contract information and a copy of the agreement, including information about cancellation rights.

6. Deposits and Payments

Any deposit, progress payment, balance, invoice due date, payment method or other financial arrangement will be set out in the applicable project agreement or invoice.

We will not treat a payment amount or payment schedule mentioned in general website content as a substitute for the terms agreed for your particular project.

Any deposit, cancellation charge, refund restriction or other payment condition must be consistent with the applicable agreement and governing law. Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation, refund or other right that cannot legally be excluded.

Please review the payment terms in your project documents before approving the work.

7. Changes to Project Scope

Changes to the agreed design, materials, dimensions, installation pattern or scope of work may affect the price, schedule and materials required.

Where appropriate, changes should be documented and approved in writing before the additional or revised work proceeds.

If unexpected site conditions are discovered, we will discuss the issue, potential solutions, additional costs and any scheduling implications with you as appropriate.

Work outside the agreed scope will be handled in accordance with the project agreement and applicable law.

8. Scheduling and Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to coordinate the work according to the schedule agreed for your project.

Actual start and completion dates may be affected by circumstances such as material shortages, shipping delays, site readiness, concealed conditions, approved scope changes, access restrictions, weather where relevant, or delays involving other trades.

If a significant delay arises, we will communicate relevant information and discuss reasonable next steps.

Any project-specific scheduling commitments will be governed by the accepted agreement. These Terms do not guarantee a particular start date or completion date unless expressly agreed in writing.

9. Customer Responsibilities

To help the project proceed efficiently, you are responsible for the following, as applicable to your project:

  • Providing accurate information about the property and requested work.

  • Arranging reasonable access to the work area at agreed times.

  • Ensuring the work area is ready for the agreed installation.

  • Confirming tile selections, layout, grout colour and other required decisions in a timely manner.

  • Ensuring customer-supplied tiles and materials are available when required and are suitable for the agreed work.

  • Disclosing known site conditions that may affect the installation.

  • Arranging any required owner, landlord, strata or other permissions for which you are responsible under the project agreement.

If the site is not ready, materials are unavailable or access is restricted, the project schedule or cost may be affected in accordance with the agreed terms.

10. Materials and Existing Site Conditions

Tile installation may involve existing surfaces, substrates, plumbing fixtures, waterproofing systems or other building components that are outside the agreed scope of work.

Unless specifically included in the project agreement, work on existing structures, removal of previous installations, repairs, substrate replacement, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical work, painting or other trades may require a separate assessment and agreement.

Where a material or site condition may affect the proposed installation, we will discuss the issue with you as reasonably practicable.

Tile, stone, grout and other building materials may naturally vary in shade, texture, veining, dimensions and appearance. Any material-specific requirements or limitations should be considered before installation.

11. Workmanship and Warranties

Any workmanship warranty offered by Finest Tiling will be described in the applicable written project agreement or separate warranty document.

Warranty coverage, duration, exclusions and claim procedures depend on the terms actually provided for your project.

Manufacturer warranties for tiles, adhesives, grout, waterproofing products and other supplied materials may be governed by the relevant manufacturer’s conditions.

Unless expressly included in a written agreement, this website does not create a separate warranty or guarantee of a particular product’s performance or service life.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee or consumer right that applies by law and cannot legally be excluded.

12. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a project, please contact us as soon as possible.

Any applicable notice requirements, charges, refunds, material costs or other consequences will be determined by your project agreement and applicable law.

Certain consumer contracts may carry statutory cancellation rights, including rights that cannot be waived by a general website policy. The applicable rules depend on the circumstances and type of contract.

Please contact us if you have questions about changing or cancelling an agreed project.

13. Limitation of Liability

We will provide our services in accordance with the applicable project agreement and the standards required by law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Finest Tiling is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control or conditions outside the agreed scope of work, including pre-existing defects, concealed site conditions, unsuitable customer-supplied materials or alterations made by other parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Any additional project-specific allocation of responsibility must be set out in the applicable agreement and remain consistent with applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the text, branding, graphics, website design and other content published on this website are owned by Finest Tiling or used with permission.

You may view and print website content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, modify, distribute or commercially use website content without prior permission, except where permitted by law.

Project photographs and other visual materials may be subject to separate copyright or usage rights. Please contact us before using them.

15. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, suppliers, manufacturers or other resources for convenience.

We do not control those external websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or terms. Your use of a third-party website is subject to that provider’s applicable terms and policies.

A link on our website does not necessarily imply endorsement of the third party or its products and services.

16. Privacy

When you contact us or submit information through our website, we may collect and use personal information to respond to your enquiry, discuss a project, prepare an estimate and communicate with you.

Our collection, use, disclosure and protection of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy:

Privacy Policy: https://finesttiling.ca/privacy-policy/

Please review that policy for further information.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.

Subject to any mandatory legal requirements and applicable consumer rights, disputes concerning these website Terms will be dealt with by the courts of British Columbia that have appropriate jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising a statutory right or using a dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services or business practices, or for legal and operational reasons.

The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes to these website Terms do not automatically amend a previously accepted project agreement unless the parties agree to the change or applicable law provides otherwise.

We encourage visitors to review this page periodically.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed as necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
